⏳✍🏼Even though they were born five centuries apart and on opposite ends ☦️🔥♥️🕊️🌍 of the Mediterranean Sea, I consider Saint Symeon the New Theologian and Madre Saint Teresa of Jesus to be brother and sister. They are two of the most outstanding pray-ers, gifted by the Holy Spirit with an ability to express, in words, the inexplicable mystery of ⛲ the Work of God.
It was really something else, Matthew. It changed my entire outlook on everything, and was the impetus for my Substack project. I wish you could have been there, too. My wife always passes through that spot on her way to the market, hoping something happens 😁
That someone godly and great like Aquinas or Teresa or St John would have such a vision seems to make sense to me but when people like yourself or Pascal (men who weren't 'looking for it') have those visions ... it makes me hopeful that one day God might bless me with that overflow of love too. Not to be expected, presumed upon nor demanded but if it came - such a delight.
Steve -
Thank you for your work.
I don’t even know what to say.
Thanks for the kind words Alan. Simply say praise be to God… all glory and honor to Him.
Amen!
The liturgy of the inert… Thanks for putting words on my longing and budding practice. Those words of Paul ring as a low pedal point in my being. 🙌🙏
Good to hear, thanks Sara! And I do appreciate the paid sub.

Keep on Keep'n on Amigo, one day at a time....

Thank you for this. What I’d give to have joined you in that car park.

Yes, that’s the more important point I think… God wants us all, and can tap on our shoulders anywhere! A deepening prayer life is essential.
